Coleman Spas are programmed to filter twice a day. The first cycle starts six minutes after the spa is turned on, and the second cycle runs 12 hours later. The default filtering is for two hours, but you can change this to suit your needs. Filtration time can be anywhere from one to six hours. I bought my Intex Pure Spa from Walmart in June 2017 and ran it for 3 months until it crapped out with the E90 code in August. I let it sit until May 2018 and decided to delve into it. This is where I found the issue is inside the pump on the bottom of the unit. The pump has. Jacuzzi Whirlpool. OH = Overheat Protection (Heater is deactivated, pumps low speed is activated). COOL = Spa water is more than 20° F cooler than the temperature set point. FLO. = Flow Switch (heater is deactivated. Pump may also be deactivated). Hold = Panel sensors have been pressed too many times in a short period of time. HOT = Circuit Board temperature has exceeded acceptable limit.

Clean the filter cartridge of the hot tub or replace it with a new one.
If E90 persists, check and ensure there is no debris inside the spa tub inlet and outlet grids. If there is debris inside, unscrew the spa inlet/outlet grid with a screwdriver. Clean and replace it back.
Make sure the spa water is clean and sanitized.

Intex Hot Tub Alarm Code E98: SolutionIf you are experiencing alarm code E98 is displayed on your hot tub control panel, it means the spa has encountered either water or ambient temperature of 55℃ (131ºF) or above
The solution to this problem is very simple, first press the 'RESET' button on the side of the spa control unit using a small and thin object till the E98 alarm stop, then unplug and plug back in the RCD to restart the system.
If E98 stillshown after several reset attempt, follow these instructions:
Unplug the power cord and disconnect the control base from the tub. Flip over the control base to locate the reset button box.
Unscrew the two screws.
Pull out the reset button box and unscrew the two screws on the bottom of the box.
Take out the cover and pull out the white thermal protector.
Press the black button to check if it goes down and up or not.
Make sure the black rubber cover is not out of place and sitting inside the housing.

High salt alarm.Alarm where too much salt has been added to the spa or a large amount of water has evaporated.Do not use the spa or place any further Pure Spa Salt for 24 to 48 hours to ensure the levels reduce. Unplug the spa pump, remove from the liner and drain 20% of the water from the spa. Refill this with fresh water.
Start the Salt Chlorinator System.

Reset the spa as first use using the reset button.
Once reset, turn on the Hydro Jet system.
Gradually add and dissolve 0.5kg (500g) of Pure Spa Salt at a time.
Start the Salt Chlorinator System.
Allow the spa pump to run on either the 5 hour or 8 hour setting.
If the E11 error code is visible again, place a further 0.5kg (500g) of Pure Spa Salt in the spa.
